Writing Lab and Tutoring in DHC 002
The English Department computer lab is conveniently located in Dauphin Humanities Center (DHC) 002. The lab is open to all students and faculty members and is staffed by free writing tutors, who have been trained to assist students in need of help with their writing assignments. Though the tutors do take walk-ins during the hours below, students are encouraged to schedule an appointment to guarantee a session.

Mondays: 9:00am - 6:00pm
Tuesdays: 11:00am - 2:00pm & 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Wednesdays: 9:00am - 6:00pm
Thursdays: 11:00am - 2:00pm & 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Fridays and Weekends: Closed
*The schedule varies during summer months and semester breaks. The writing lab is also often reserved for classes. During these times, the tutor will often post a sign on the door that allows students to relocate for tutoring.

Emily Mitchell is a senior English major with a writing concentration. She hopes to one day work in publishing but for now, she’s happy tutoring and playing with her two pet guinea pigs.

Andrew Houpt is a Senior English major with a Writing Emphasis. He loves dogs and learning about different writing styles.

Anna D’Orazio is a Junior English major with a Literary Studies concentration. She hopes to one day work in editing and publications, so she’s very excited to help students of all writing levels throughout the semester.

Wireless Printing Options
You may print to a lab printer from your personal computer if you are connected to the campus wireless network. Follow the instructions to add a lab printer option to your personal computer.
Recommended Antivirus Protection
Free Avira and Sophos Antivirus protection for personal computers is available for students and faculty. Visit the Antivirus Installation page and following the links for Windows or Mac users. You may also access several online virus scanner options to perform maintenance and clean-up.
Microsoft Office Suite
Technology Services offers free subscription to the Microsoft Office Suite to all students. It can be downloaded on PC, Mac, and mobile devices such as the iPad.
