Policies & Procedures for the Memorial Auditorium (MA)

  1. Food and/or drink ONLY permitted in the lobby of MA. Food must be removed upon the conclusion of all meetings/events. Arrangements should be made with Campus Catering to remove all food items which they have provided.
  2. All trash must be placed in the proper receptacles.
  3. No classes, labs or any type of academic instruction shall be scheduled in MA.
  4. Animals are not permitted in the building at any time (except for persons with disabilities).
  5. MA is not responsible for any articles lost in the building. Articles found in the building should be turned into MA120 where they will be held for at least one (1) week prior to being sent to University Police.
  6. Any damage to MA or its equipment, including excessive cleaning expenses, will be charged to the organization, department or individual using it at the time the damage occurred.
  7. Gambling in MA and the surrounding areas is prohibited.
  8. The use or possession of alcoholic beverages, narcotics, firearms, dangerous weapons or pyrotechnic devices in prohibited.
  9. The MA is subject to general University regulations including the Code of Conduct and other regulations governing conduct as indicated in the Swataney (Student Handbook).
  10. Only recognized University organizations, departments and affiliated individuals or groups can make reservations in MA.
  11. No taping is permitted on any of the MA Doors, Painted or Wood surfaces.
  12. All special requests, including accessing MA before or after normal hours of operation, must be made at least four (4) weeks in advance and should be included when submitting this form (fees for student staffing may apply in order to accommodate such requests).
  13. No furniture or equipment may be removed from any space within MA without prior approval. 14. Storage of any items prior to or at the conclusion of meetings/events must be approved in advance. 15. Any A/V equipment not available must be requested with Media Services at extension 1646.

ANY DAMAGES TO THE FACILITIES OR VIOLATIONS OF POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MAY RESULT IN THE LOSS OF RESERVATION PRIVILEGES.
