FAFSA – The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is the first step in applying for financial aid.
On-line applications require a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for both student and parent. Visit www.pin.ed.gov to secure your PIN. If you do not have a PIN you may print, sign, and mail the on-line signature page.

Financial Aid Checklist
1. Complete the 2008/2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA*) on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov or receive a copy from your high school guidance office after January 1, 2008.
2. Complete 2007 federal income taxes for student and for parents of dependent* students. Keep a copy for your records.
3. Complete, sign, and submit your FAFSA* on-line or by mail by March, 30, 2008 to meet priority deadlines. The SU Title IV Code is 003326.
4. Review your on-line Student Aid Report at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
5. Federal Stafford loan applications are available on-line at www.aessuccess.org.
6. Federal PLUS (Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students) loan applications are available on-line at www.aessuccess.org.
7. Submit any requested documentation to the SU Financial Aid Office as soon as possible.
8. Receive award letter.* Review and return to the Financial Aid Office if instructed to do so.

1. Renew your 2008/2009 FAFSA on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. (Paper applications will also be available in the Financial Aid Office after 1/1/06.)
2. Complete 2007 federal income taxes for student and for parents of dependent students.
3. Complete, sign, and submit your 2008/2009 FAFSA by March, 30, 2008. Keep a copy of the application.
4. Review your on-line Student Aid Report at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
