Welcome to the Honors Program at Shippensburg University! This website is an easily accessible and comprehensive resource for prospective students to learn about the many curricular and extracurricular opportunities the Honors Program offers talented students who are interested in enriching their undergraduate experience.
The Honors Program involves approximately 175 students from the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, and the College of Education and Human Services. Our program is dedicated to promoting scholarship, leadership, and service and to encouraging an atmosphere of creative learning and intellectual exploration. Some benefits of membership include small Honors classes, priority scheduling, an Honors residence hall option, and special undergraduate research, service-learning, and study abroad opportunities.

The Honors Program offers incoming students the opportunity to live in suites designated exclusively for the Honors Program in Presidents Hall. By choosing Honors housing, you'll be able to form relationships with your Honors peers, gaining social and educational connections to enhance your experience at Shippensburg University.

To help incoming Honors students learn about the opportunities the Honors Program offers to enhance their undergraduate education, freshmen Honors students participate in a mandatory two-day summer orientation program. This orientation is in addition to the regular university orientation held in June.
