Studying abroad is especially appropriate in your sophomore year. This permits you to complete General Education requirements as well as to take courses for your major or minor. Planning early makes the process easier, and freshmen are welcome to learn about the opportunity as early as their first semester at Ship.

Think about signing up for the interdisciplinary International Studies minor. The world is open to International Studies minors who also study abroad. Information can be found at: http://www.ship.edu/academic/artint.html or by contacting ism@ship.edu

Students pursuing any major are welcome to apply, but it is best to begin your planning one year in advance.  Some majors can only study abroad their sophomore year so planning early is necessary.

*Transfer students are advised on an individual basis.  It is wise to contact the office if you are considering Ship and want to study abroad.
