Ship planetarium show schedule

MilkyWayArticleThe Dibert-Roddick Planetarium at Shippensburg University will host two shows to close out its 2017 schedule.

On Nov. 14, the fall children’s show introduces young minds to the celestial wonders. This show is recommend for ages five and older and begins at 7:30 p.m.

The Dec. 12 show, “The Stars of the Winter Sky,” will explore the prominent stars and objects in the constellations of the December sky. Using these stars as examples, the show discusses the life and death of the many types of stars found in the heavens. Weather permitting, this show includes a short observation session in the observatory after the show. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.

The planetarium is located in Franklin Science Center. Doors open at 7:15. Tickets are $1 for adults and 50 cents for children under 12.
