Prior to wins from Barnett and Harrar, Brandon “Bubba” Smith ‘12 garnered SUTV’s first Emmy® victory in 2012 for “Red Raider Goes for Gold,” a story about Ship alumna Neely Spence and her pursuit of competing in the Olympics.

Alumna Amanda Peterson ‘12, no stranger to the nomination list, is once again up for a regional Emmy® as part of the abc27 News team. The traffic anchor was nominated along with her abc27 News Daybreak colleagues for outstanding morning newscast in a medium market.

Another Ship graduate, Joe O’Neill ‘05, Director of Visual Media at Dickinson College, was nominated in the public/current/community affairs feature/segment category for “Dickinson & Carlisle: Working Together for the Common Good.”

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy® Awards will be presented on Saturday, October 13, 2018. The ceremony will be held at the Philadelphia Marriott.
