The Federal School Code for Shippensburg University is 003326.

Students should complete an electronic Master Promissory Note (eMPN) in order to borrow a Federal Direct Stafford Loan or a Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan at www.studentloans.gov.

Parents may complete an eMPN in order to borrow a Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan after May 31st at www.studentloans.gov.

Dates & Deadlines

Prospective and returning students should complete the FAFSA as soon as possible.

Student Financial Aid Portal

myShip Portal can be accessed by students who have been offered admission or have already confirmed their intent to attend Shippensburg University.

The following information gives a detailed look at how to view information related to Financial Aid by using myShip portal.

Log on Instructions

Accepted and/or Confirmed students who have never logged into myShip portal: 

Returning students who have previously logged into myShip portal:   

You have received an offered admissions letter OR you have confirmed (paid deposit), but have never logged into myShip portal. 

Step 1: 

Your Ship email address and password are used to authenticate you to all online systems at Ship. You will need to activate your Ship email account and set a password. To do so:

  • Log in to the Shippensburg University Admissions Portal with your Admissions Login ID and PIN to activate your account. 
  • After login, select your Admissions Term under Processed Applications.
  • Click on the link to Activate Your Ship Email Address  
  • The system will prompt you to set a password for your Ship email account.

Step 2: 

Accepted Students but not yet Confirmed:

Go to  myShip portal at https://my.ship.edu  

  1. Log on using your full Ship email address and password
    Example:
    Username: ab1234@ship.edu
    Password: ********  

Forgot your Password?  

  • Log in to the Shippensburg University Admissions Portal with your Admissions Login ID and PIN to activate your account. 
  • After login, select your Admissions Term under Processed Applications.
  •  Click on the link to Activate Your Ship Email Address 
  • The system will prompt you to set a password for your Ship email account.
 

NOTE: Please note that offered applicants are given a userid that resembles an email address. This userid is not an email address until you send in your confirmation to attend Shippensburg University. You cannot send or receive email using this userid. After your admission is confirmed by paying an initial deposit, your userid becomes your official Shippensburg University email address.

Once you have clicked on the financial aid tab, you will have access to the following financial aid information. 

Financial Aid Status:  

Select the academic year

You can check your Estimated Cost of Attendance, Unsatisfied Student Requirements, Outside Resources, Academic Progress Status, and Financial Aid History.

Eligibility:  

You can check the Document Requirements or Holds on your account, as well as messages related to each of those requirements. There may be links to forms you can complete online or other forms you can download and return.

You can check your Academic Progress Status and the history of your Academic Progress.

Award: 

You can accept, reduce or decline your financial aid offer.

You can view your financial aid award history as of fall 2011.

You can review your withdrawal information per term. This information originates from the Registrar’s Office and is for review only. All questions regarding withdrawals should be directed to the Registrar.

You can view your award payment schedule.
