We welcome bicyclists of all skill levels on campus and strive to provide you with access to a bike friendly campus. Ship has a free bike share program, 50 bike racks on campus, and two bicycle repair stations!

ShipShare Bike Share Program

ShipShare is a free campus bike share program available to faculty, staff, and students. Since its start in 2017, the program has received new bikes and supplies donated by businesses and individuals, including Merv’s Bike Shop, Quick Release Bicycles, the Institute for Public Service and Sponsored Programs, the Student Government Association, and the Shippensburg University Class of 2018. The program encourages riders to take advantage of what the surrounding community offers while staying active.

Where are the bikes?

The bikes are located on a bike rack in front of the Ezra Lehman Memorial Library.

How do I check out a bike?

Bikes are checked out through the Lehman Library system. Those wishing to use a bike must present a Shippensburg University ID at the checkout counter. Users must sign a liability form and receive a key for the bike lock. Bikes can be checked out for up to three hours. Upon return, the bicycle will be checked for damage.
