Health and Wellness
Every now and then, you have to be extra good to your body. At Ship, we provide top-level health care if you become ill with a cold or virus, if you sustained a minor injury playing an intramural sport, or if you require any other medical attention. Our university’s health services are available to all undergraduate and graduate students who have paid the comprehensive health fee, which is billed as part of your tuition and fees.
Your health and wellness is one of our primary concerns, and our fantastic facilities and staff know how to deal with many common health issues. Read more about the support and care available to you as a Ship student.
Located in the Wellness Center on the ground floor of Naugle Hall, the Etter Health Center takes care of you when you are sick or injured and helps you to stay well and prevent illness. Our nurses are available to discuss your questions and problems and arrange for an appointment if necessary.

The University Counseling Center (UCC) provides individual, couples, and group counseling, crisis intervention, and psychiatric services for undergraduate and graduate students. We also provide prevention and consultation services for the entire university community. Based on a commitment to student learning, and social, personal, and ethical development, our mission evolves from that of the university.
This mission of our Connection Alcohol and Other Drug Program is to cultivate within students a sense of personal accountability and empowerment to make healthy choices and responsible decisions regarding the use of alcohol and other drugs. We accomplish this through comprehensive prevention, education, intervention, and community coalition activities.
