History Employment & Career Links
Applied History graduate students are encouraged to think broadly about the talents they have developed through their study of history and the ways that diverse employers might utilize those skills. Students who are just beginning their job search are encouraged to visit the Career Development Center located on the second floor of the Cumberland Union Building. The CDC can assist students in defining career interests, writing resumes and cover letters, and in structuring an effective job-search strategy. Remember many of the openings for historians may not be publicized, so be sure to network and use your contacts to alert you to new openings.
