National Association of Black Accountants hosted their First Annual NABA Week this spring semester. NABA Week 2010 took place February 2nd-February 6th. Each day of the week had an event including an etiquette dinner, poetry slam, open panel, a corporate fashion show and a mini-conference. The original date for the fashion show and conference were postponed until March 19th due to a winter snow storm. The keynote speaker at NABA's etiquette dinner was international speaker Marvin Worthy. NABA also honored students for their scholarly achievements and efforts in the community. The corporate fashion was sponsored by Bon-ton Clothing Department Store. The fashion show was a great fund raiser for the organization. At NABA's First Annual Mini Conference there were students from Shippensburg University, Villanova University, and Temple University. The conference was very interactive and beneficial for students that attended. NABA's "First Annual NABA Week" was a great success but the organization looks forward to next year's events.
