3:15-3:45 pm—Break & Book Exhibit, Dauphin Humanities Center Café 

3:45-5:00 pm—“Looking Forward:  Applied History Alumni Perspectives on the Future Directions of the Field of Public History and Graduate Studies at Shippensburg University” (Dauphin Humanities Center 051)

5:30pm-7:30pm Reception for graduate program alumni and current graduate students at the Shippensburg Historical Society, 52 W. King Street (tickets required, may be purchased for $5 at the registration desk or at the door at the Shippensburg Historical Society). 

 

 

 

 

Parking Information & Construction Advisory: Please be advised that there is signifcant construction in the vicinity of the Dauphin Humanities Center. Visitors coming to campus for this event are encouraged to enter campus from King Street via North Prince Street. Parking may be found in the Memorial Auditorium Faculty/Staff Parking lot located along Adams Drive.  From Prince Street, the parking lot is the second left after Dauphin Drive. Campus police will not be ticketing this lot after 1 pm. If parking is not available in the Memorial Auditorium lot, additional parking may be found by continuing down Adams Drive to the Spiritual Center.  The entrance is the first driveway to the right after the Memorial Auditorium lot.

Directions to the Shippensburg Historical Society from the Memorial Auditorium Lot or the Spiritual Center:  Exit campus via Adams Drive and Prince Street. After the stop sign at Fort Street, go one block and then take the next right onto East Burd Street.  Continue on Burd Street until you come to the stoplight at the corner of Earl Street and East Burd Street. Proceed through the intersection, and then continue one block on Burd Street. On your left will be the a free public parking lot. You can park in the lot, and then follow the alley along McCreary Avenue to King Street. The Shippensburg Historical Society is at 52 West King Street, the gray limestone building next to the Shippensburg Post Office.
