Honors Scheduling for Spring 2013
All students who intend to schedule Honors courses for the spring 2013 semester must contact Cindy Poe, Honors secretary, at cmpoe@ship.edu with the Honors courses they would like to schedule and their SUID number. If any courses are oversubscribed, students will be given priority based on the number of credit hours they have earned. Course descriptions are available here. Plan ahead! A list of Honors courses that will be offered in Fall 2013 will be posted on the Web site soon.

Boren scholarships award up to $20,000 to undergraduate students who study abroad in Africa, Asia, Central/Eastern Europe, Latin America, or the Middle East. The Gilman Scholarship awards students who have been accepted into a study abroad program and are receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application.

Each year, 1600 U.S. students travel to over 155 countries as “Fulbrighters,” conducting field research, teaching English, and acting as the face of the U.S. abroad. Join Fulbright alumna Jessica Kuntz to learn more about Fulbright programs and how to craft a successful application. Reach Out Once Upon A Fantasy Charity Ball
Tuscarora Room, Reisner Hall, 8-10 p.m.
Come as your favorite Disney, fantasy, or superhero character and have a ball. Karaoke, dance contests, prizes and more. $15 at the door, $10 in advance, or $8 per person for groups of five or more. The money raised goes to help support education in the Dominican Republic. Tickets are on sale April 30th at Reisner from 4-6 p.m. and on May 2nd outside of the library.
