Shippensburg University offers a variety of options for students to receive their e-mail on a daily basis. The information below provides basic information regarding these different ways to set up e-mail as well as answers a few questions regarding University e-mail.
Outlook Web Access
The preferred choice of Shippensburg University students, Outlook Web Access is the most simple option for students to check their Shippensburg University e-mail anywhere that provides Internet access. Students can browse to https://mail.ship.edu and enter their University-provided username and password anytime, anywhere and have immediate access to their University e-mail.
Forwarding

iPhone E-mail Settings
Shippensburg University supports the use of the iPhone for receiving University e-mail. In order to set up an iPhone with our Exchange server to receive mail, students will need to use the following settings after selecting Microsoft Exchange for their e-mail account on their iPhone:
Email: Enter the full Ship e-mail address (including "@ship.edu")
Username: Enter ship\username (where username is the e-mail id)
Password: Enter password
Exchange Server Address: mail.ship.edu
iPhone Exchange Setup Walkthrough
Android Device E-mail Settings
Shippensburg University supports the use of the Android mobile devices for receiving University e-mail. In order to set up an Android mobile device with our Exchange server to receive mail, students will need to use the following settings after selecting Exchange for their e-mail account on their Android mobile device:
Email: Enter the full Ship e-mail address (including "@ship.edu")
Domain\Username: Enter ship\username (username is the e-mail id)
Password: Enter password
Exchange Server Address: mail.ship.edu
Use secure connection (SSL): check the box in incoming settings
Windows Mobile E-mail Settings
Shippensburg University supports the use of Windows Mobile Phones for receiving University e-mail. In order to set up a Windows Mobile Phone with our Exchange server to receive mail, students will need to use the Active Sync program included with the Windows Mobile Phone Operating System. Students will need to use the following settings after selecting Active Sync on their Windows Mobile Phone:
Email: Enter the full Ship e-mail address (including "@ship.edu")
Server: Attempt to detect Exchange Server Settings automatically
Server Address: mail.ship.edu
Username: Enter your e-mail username (without the "@ship.edu")
Password: Enter password
Domain Name: ship
Microsoft Active Sync Walkthrough
Blackberry E-mail Settings
Shippensburg University does not provide push e-mail support for Blackberry devices. However, students can easily set up their BIS account to receive e-mail using their University e-mail. Students will need to use the following settings to set up their BIS account with the University Exchange Server:
E-mail Address: Enter the full Ship e-mail address (including "@ship.edu")
Password: Enter password
Outlook Web Access URL: https://mail.ship.edu
Mailbox Name: Enter your e-mail username (without the "@ship.edu")

POP Settings
Shippensburg University DOES NOT support POP e-mail. If your client/device supports the POP e-mail protocol, it will also support the IMAP protocol. Please read the IMAP Settings listed above for information regarding the setup for this mail protocol.
