2. Finding Research Articles in a Social Work Database
- Choose "Find Articles" then "In Databases"
- Choose one of the following
- Covers social work and human services
- Contains indexing and abstracts for over 450 journals
- Covers scholarly publications in sociology, social work, and related fields
- Contains over 1 million articles
- Covers peer-reviewed sociology journals
- Contains over 500 journal titles
3. Finding Research Articles in Related Disciplines
- Choose "Find Articles" then "In Databases"
- Choose one of the following
Our most cross-disciplinary database
Contains articles on natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, business and education
Indexes abstracts of journal articles, books, and reports in psychology and related fields
Contains abstracts and links to full text when available
- Covers research journals and books on Criminal Justice
- Contains abstracts and citations to 80,000+ research items from 1960 to the present
4. Finding Books
- Choose "Find Books" then one of the following
- An index of all the book which Ship has in its Library Collection
- Books are on the top floor of the Library.
- Use the Call Number to find a book on the shelves
- Log on with your student ID (Begins with 65....)
- Search for a book title, author, or a topic
- Choose Request and fill out the online form
- Book will be mailed to the Ship Library within three days
- You will be emailed to come and pick the book up
