Announcing a New Scholarship
Valedictorian – Board of Governors’ Scholarship
For Pennsylvania residents graduating from Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Mifflin, Perry and York county high schools.
A limited number of Pennsylvania high school students at the top of their class in the Spring 2009 will be able to receive the highest Pennsylvania in-state tuition scholarship awarded by Shippensburg University.
The value of these awards is $5,000 per year for up to four (4) years, as long as the students continue to meet the University academic requirements and maintains a minimum quality grade point average (QPA) of 3.0 or better and earn at least 12 credits per semester.
A maximum of fifteen (15) awards will be made for 2009-2010 (at the start of the fall term only.) If there are more than fifteen (15) individuals competing for these awards, the SAT scores (math and critical reading only) will determine the top fifteen (15) recipients.
Students who normally don’t receive confirmation of their valedictorian status until late Spring, will need to notify the Shippensburg University Financial Aid Office and send confirmation of their graduation status.
Documentation must be received by the Financial Aid Office no later than June 30, 2009, or as soon as possible for a student to qualify.
