With the PACE program (Plan a College Education), high school seniors may apply to TJU for a position to begin two years later. During the two years at Shippensburg University, students complete their prerequisite courses (see Biology/Health Sciences website) and, providing they maintain good academic standing, automatically matriculate to TJU to complete the professional component of their degree. The PACE option is NOT available for the physical therapy program because it requires the baccalaureate degree.
This early acceptance program is for high school seniors with relatively high SAT scores and who have volunteer hours in the respective field of study. Minimum SAT scores vary among disciplines but in no case can be less than 1000 verbal & math combined. Interested students should contact Thomas Jefferson University College of Health Professions for additional information and PACE applications by calling 1-877-533-3247 or via the website at www.jefferson.edu/jchp. PACE acceptance is based on rolling admissions; therefore, qualified students are encouraged to apply early in their senior year of high school.
SPECIAL NOTE: Students who are applying to Shippensburg University with the intention of pursing one of the 2+2 programs with Thomas Jefferson University (includes PACE-accepted students) should list “Thomas Jefferson University Allied Health Programs” as their major on the Shippensburg University application.
