Criminal Justice Department

Shippensburg University’s Criminal Justice Department prepares students for careers as law enforcement officers, adult or juvenile probation/parole officers, loss prevention professionals, correctional officers and administrators, or future law or graduate students, by presenting them with a range of coursework covering both general criminal justice information as well as specialty areas like policing and juvenile justice.

Our faculty members each bring great experience and passion to the classroom. We are proud to have:

  • One of only eight Bachelor of Science programs in the country that is certified by the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences
  • Flexible graduate programs with online and weekend offerings
