How to Apply

  1. Complete the online application for admission to Shippensburg University
  2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The application will be available after January 1, 2013.
  3. Submit two letters of recommendation from teachers in STEM fields.
  4. Submit a personal essay addressing the following:
    1. How did a past STEM course or activity impact your decision to consider a STEM major in college? 
    2. What are your long-term educational and career goals?
     

Eligibility Requirements

  • US citizenship
  • Enrollment as a full-time student in a qualifying STEM major (for qualifying majors
  • Graduation from an accredited high school 
  • Minimum SAT = 1000 (math + verbal) 
  • Minimum high school GPA of 3.0 for first-year students; minimum GPA of 3.25 for transfer students
