In ourefforts to help the environment,Shippensburg Universityhas been a partner with Commuter Services of Pennsylvania since 2008. Commuter Services is a nonprofit organization funded by federal Congestion Mitigation & Air Qualitydollars. The groupworks with organizationsthroughout theregion to reduce traffic congestion by educating employees about commuting options, other than driving alone. Several alternativesinclude carpooling, vanpooling, walking or biking, and riding transit (if available). All of thesemodes can improve air quality in the mid-state and at the same time help employees cut commuting costs!
