Website Content

The Office of University Communications and Marketing may assist with producing digital content for ship.edu.

Content refers to the textual, aural, or visual content published on the website. Content means any creative element, for example, text, images, archived e-mail messages, audio and video files, and so on.  There are two basic kinds of web content:

  • Text: Text is simple. It is added on the main body of the webpage or as photo captions. It can also include links that help readers gain access to more information.
  • Multimedia: Another kind of web content is multimedia. Simply put, multimedia refers to any content which is not text; some examples include:  images, audio, and video.
