Adding Special Access to a Quiz

1.  Navigate to the Quiz Tool and Edit the specific quiz.

2.  Click Restrictions.

3.  Scroll down to Special Access and click Add users to Special Access.  Note:  The first option "Allow selected users special access to this quiz" is generally what you'll want as the second option limits the availability of the quiz to just those who you specify.

4.  Modify any setting which will be different for the selected students.  For example, if you're just providing the student with additional time on the quiz then you'll select "Enforced Time limit" and then enter a new time limit for the student while leaving the other settings untouched.

Remember that any setting you modify here will overwrite the default quiz setting for the selected students and all other students not selected will retain the defaults you setup for the quiz. 

5.  Once the settings have been modified, scroll down and select the students who you wish to provide these alternative settings for by checking the box to the left of their names.  

Note: You can select multiple students.

6.  Once selected, click Add Special Access.

7.  This will take you back to the restrictions tab of the quiz you were editing.  Scroll down and you should now see the student's name listed under Special access.  

8.  Click Save and Close to exit the quiz.
