Support Tools

The Office of Educational Intelligence and Technology is here to help our students, faculty, and staff with their technology needs. We provide access to software and training material focused on institutional reporting and assessment, qualitative research, and survey analysis.  The software available, along with any related information, can be found below.

Qualtrics

Qualtrics is an online survey tool and qualitative data analysis research suite of software that is now available for campus faculty, staff, and students.

It is can be accessed wherever the Internet is available, including on-campus and while at home on personal devices. Users can design surveys with an intuitive drag-and-drop survey tool, powerful logic, 100+ question types, and pre-built survey templates. Surveys can be created which work well on both desktop and mobile devices.

NVivo

NVivo is a qualitative data analysis computer software package produced by QSR International. It has been designed for qualitative researchers working with very rich text-based and/or multimedia information, where deep levels of analysis on small or large volumes of data are required.

• How to access:
  Nvivo is now available for campus faculty, staff and students for use both on campus and for home/personal devices.  Please see the NVivo installation page for instructions on how to install NVivo.

Nuventive

Nuventive is a higher education assessment and planning tool used to track, store, and analyze academic and non-academic goals and initiatives throughout Shippensburg.  

• How to access:
  Access to Nuventive at Shippensburg is available to only faculty and staff who have been granted access. If you need access, please submit a request to the HelpDesk.  Once you have been granted permission, you can access the Nuventive portal, as well as training material, on the Employee tools section of your myShip page under Other Support Tools > TracDat Tool and Support. 
  
  

COGNOS

Cognos is a reporting tool for Shippensburg's campus information system to access student and university data. It provides several reporting and analysis tools as well as prebuilt reports that provide information on a wide variety of topics.

• How to access:
  Access to Cognos at Shippensburg is available to only faculty and staff who have been granted access to view the reports and data. If you need access, please submit a request to the HelpDesk.  Once you have been granted permission, you can access the Cognos portal on the Employee tools section of your myShip page under Campus Information System Tools (On Campus Only)
