New MBA Student Information
Congratulations and welcome to the Shippensburg University MBA Program. We are pleased to have you join our program and to help you get established we would like to provide some guidance on our standards and procedures to help you familiarize yourself with our program.
You will also receive this information by mail in our MBA Welcome Packet.
For those students that live close to the campus we offer two Graduate Orientations that are held in January and August on a Sunday afternoon. You are more than welcome to attend this. Please visit this link for more information: http://www.ship.edu/Business/MBA/MBA_New_Students/Orientation/
As a graduate student that will take classes at Shippensburg University, you will be required to get a Ship ID and parking pass either during orientation or on your own.
You may also review the standards and procedures below if you are unable to make it to the campus orientation or if you need to review procedures after orientation. There are podcasts available to review MyShip/Self-Serve Banner, Desire to Learn, and Blackboard Collaborate which are the three main systems that the university uses to communicate with our students and learning management tools that our professors use to enhance the learning experience of each course.
STUDENTS ATTENDING ONLINE:
Most of our students live outside of this area and do not find it convenient to attend our on-campus orientations. For these students, we ask that you please watch the below video segments/attachments to help you get acquainted with the various systems that you will use as a student.

My Textbooks (Bookstore): purchase your textbooks
Degree Audit – get an unofficial copy of your transcript in PDF and see what
requirements you need to complete your degree
Campus Information Systems: pay your tuition online under STUDENT
ACCOUNTS (then Statement and Payment History) or you can
print off statement and send your payment in with a check.
You save 2% if you pay by check. Through here you may also
register or drop classes or see your active schedule under
REGISTRATION tab. Under STUDENT RECORDS, you can see a
longer version of your transcript, view holds and see grades.
