My name is Laura Fazzini. I am from Phoenixville, PA. I am a junior double majoring in marketing and finance. I play for Shippensburg Women’s Soccer, participate in the Leadership Council for the soccer team and am a member of the Women Leaders of the College of Business. When I began attending Ship freshman year, I had a lot of questions and was nervous about balancing college athletics, academics and extra curriculars. As a mentor, I want to help other students have a smooth transition. The STEPS program is great way to help others through their journey.
My name is Kacey Ford and I am currently a junior in the College of Business. I transferred to Shippensburg in the spring of 2020 and am a management major. I’m set to graduate in the fall of 2021 and am looking forward to working in Human Resources. I love to run and do just about anything outside. Spending time with my friends and family is also something I do a lot of along with baking any chance I get! has been a really positive experience for me and greatly helped in my transition to Ship, so it was an easy decision to sign up as a mentor.
Hello, my name is Luke Milhimes. I am a marketing major from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Currently, I am a Senior at Shippensburg and serve as the President of STEPS. I also play on the Shippensburg Ultimate Frisbee team and I am a member of the American Marketing Association. This year, I will be working for Vibra + Ernest Healthcare as a Marketing Analytics Intern. I entered Shippensburg as a transfer myself. I began my college career at Susquehanna University before transferring before the 2019 Fall semester. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in Digital Marketing or Public Relations. As a STEPS mentor, my goal is to help make the transition to Shippensburg as smooth and enjoyable as possible so that students can begin to make the most of their time at Shippensburg. I have gone through the transfer experience and I hope that I will be able to use that to help others in their journey.
Hi, my name is Cortney Quaca and I am a senior here at Shippensburg University. I am from Middletown, Pennsylvania. I am majoring in Supply Chain Management and am very involved in my major and school. I am a member of Alpha Phi Omega, a community service fraternity here on campus. I am also in the Women In the John L. Grove College of Business club, as well as the secretary of the Supply Chain and Logistics Club. When I first transferred to Shippensburg my junior year of college I had a lot of questions regarding many different topics, from school life to academic questions. Being a STEPS mentor, I want to be the person for others that I needed when I transferred here. STEPS has opened up many opportunities for me to help those that have questions whether transferring or being a first year.
Hi, I’m Nicholas Rosso. I am a Supply Chain Management major and International Studies minor. I am from Southwick, MA. I am also a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, the co-ed professional business fraternity within the college of business; Treasurer for the Supply Chain Management Club, and Secretary for the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). By coming from a different region of the USA and also having studied abroad in Denmark for the spring 2019 semester, I have been able to fully experience what it is like to be new somewhere and not know what to do. Being a STEPS Mentor allows me to help those who are struggling or just need that extra push to engage more within the campus community, or if they just need any sort of help finding things around campus.
