4+1 MPA Degree
The Department of Political Science offers a 4+1 Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree for current Shippensburg University undergraduate students. The 4+1 MPA degree allows students to accelerate their graduate studies by earning graduate credits during their senior year as an undergraduate. Eligible students may take up to 6 graduate credits that count for both their undergraduate and MPA degrees. Students can earn their undergraduate and master's degrees in as little as 5 years with the 4+1 MPA program. Upon successful completion of all the MPA program requirements, students will earn a Master of Public Administration degree.
The 4+1 MPA program is well-suited for students majoring in Public Service or Political Science but is open to ALL majors.
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student in good standing
- Must have earned at least 75 credits (Junior year)
- Have an overall 3.0 GPA
- Submit supplemental application materials
