Welcome Week

Welcome newest Red Raider! You have made one of the best choices of your life: to go to college. We hope that you are excited to start at Shippensburg and join the Ship family. Whether you are coming directly from high school, coming back to college after years of life experience, or are transferring from another college or university, we hope you will take advantage of every opportunity made available to you during our Spring into the Semester Programming 

This required programming will be hosted virtually leading up to the start of the semester, but you will have the chance to choose programming that you feel will assist you in your success. Students will be required to attend a certain number of programs during this time.  

Sessions will include important programming that will help you get acclimated to college life at Ship, understanding our technology and e-learning requirementssocialize with new and current students, and learn more about the campus and community.

Additionally, all new students will recieved a welcome kit in the mail that will include a planner, a welcome bag, and supplies for some of the social events below.

DEVELOPING ONLINE SUCCESS SKILLS FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER (Must attend 3 different sessions from January 21st - 26th)

  • 8PM-9PM   DIY CRAFTS KIT
    Feeling crafty? Paint, create bracelets, and fold origami. Craft kits for these activities will be included in your welcome kit that will be mailed to you. Don’t worry, we’ve got foolproof instructions to help you make a masterpiece! 
    *Update: Since welcome packets are arriving to some new students late we will not host a specific zoom time for this event. We did include directions and materials for the DIY Crafts in your packet for you to complete at your leisure.
