Harmonic Voices of Truth

Founded in the Summer of 1973, the Harmonic Voices of Truth, (HVT) enjoys a long history of excellence at Shippensburg University. Directed and managed by students, the primary goal of the choir is help students PUSH (Praise, Uplift, Sing the Songs of Zion and move spirits to Higher Heights). The secondary goal is to assist in the retention and graduation of students. Students create a support network which motivates them to aspire to higher heights. HVT operates under the auspices of the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs and is truly dedicated to continuing the legacy which began as a survival mechanism for a small group of students of color and today has evolved into a bridge for diversity and spiritual renewal. HVT honors its tradition: A History of Harmony, A Voice of Victory and A Tradition of Truth.
