Thirty-third annual MLK March for Humanity at Shippensburg University

Student march

The thirty-third annual Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. March for Humanity will take place at Shippensburg University on January 30 at 3:30 p.m. in Old Main Chapel. This annual event celebrates the work and life of Dr. King and is open to the community.

Before the march, Keshia Hannam will share her experiences as co-founder of women’s movement Camel Assembly, a global collective of activists and artists. A storyteller with media company Dear World, Keshia has spoken for the The New York Times, Fortune 500 companies and last year at the United Nations. She contributes regularly to National Geographic, Fortune, Forbes and CNN and delivers performance-based keynotes to universities, conferences and art-based events all over the world.

The march will immediately follow Hannam’s program. This event is sponsored the African American Organization, ACT and Multicultural Student Affairs.
