New Student Orientation
Orientation is key to your successful journey at Shippensburg University. It is held on campus prior to the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Besides creating your first semester class schedule, orientation is where you learn your way around campus, find out about all the amazing activities
at Ship, and make new friends. We hope you’re getting excited about beginning your collegiate journey with us! At Ship, we're committed to creating an engaging learning environment. Here you will find many people who will help you along the way, and many resources are
available to assist you in reaching your goals. To get the most out of Orientation, you need to come prepared.
The GPS —
Getting Prepared for Ship portal — provides helpful information about registering for courses. We recommend that you review this material in advance so you will come to Orientation prepared to register for courses that meet your educational and personal goals.
Our colleges have days dedicated to onboarding new students, so be sure to check the
schedule often to find out when your orientation will be held. If you have any questions, contact Erin Kissinger in our Orientation Office at (717) 477-1164 or
