ROTC offers $5K bonus to qualified college sophomores
The United States Army is offering a limited opportunity to current college sophomores that could result in a $5,000 bonus for them.
Those interested must attend basic camp at Fort Knox this summer and, upon successful completion of basic camp, will be contracted by Cadet Command and paid the $5,000 signing bonus.
Upon graduation, cadets who have successfully completed the military science requirements will receive a position as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. Cadets may elect to be part of the Regular Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard.
Due to the wide range of jobs and occupations available within, the Army realizes the need for a diverse talent pool and encourages the recruitment of officers from all degree fields.
Shippensburg University sophomores with the physical stamina and mental agility who are interested should contact Chris Calabrese at the Shippensburg Army ROTC department by calling 717-404-7092, visiting goarmy.com/rotc or texting ROTCBONUS to 462769.
