Sociology/Anthropology Clubs and Organizations

Clubs and organizations related to sociology and anthropology provide students with chances to network, pursue leadership positions, conduct research, boost their resumes and have fun. There are student-led groups on campus and nationally-recognized groups, both of which provide great opportunities.


Sociology and Anthropology Club

The Sociology and Anthropology Club encourages casual interaction between students, department professors, and the community. The club provides students with the opportunity to share ideas and express interests that concern society and culture. Interests include homelessness, globalization, environment, local food movement, politics, religious/ racial intolerance, legalization of marijuana, and the need for social change. The club is open to all students.


Alpha Kappa Delta

Alpha Kappa Delta is an international sociology honor society that recognizes sociology majors who have excelled academically.


American Anthropological Association

The American Anthropological Association is the world’s largest scholarly and professional organization of anthropologists. It is dedicated to advancing human understanding and applying that knowledge to the world’s issues.
