Proctoring Services

Shippensburg University Testing Center provides proctoring services for distance education students from Shippensburg and other colleges/universities. In all testing and assessment activities, staff members at the Testing Center are committed to following the National College Testing Association’s (NCTA) professional standards and guidelines as well as providing quality customer service.

Testing Hours

We can offer testing during any time the Testing Center is open; however, we usually start exams at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. daily (if you want to start at a different time, please contact us). We are generally open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. when students are on campus and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the summer and when students are not on campus. We are also open selected weeknights and Saturdays. Contact us for specific hours.

Scheduling

The Testing Center does not accept walk-ins. Scheduling is required, at least 48 business hours in advance. To schedule an appointment, please use the links below:

If you are a Shippensburg University student taking a distance education exam and you are required to take a proctored exam, contact us for assistance in setting that up. There is no fee for our assistance, but you are responsible for paying any fee charged by other proctoring locations.

Fees

  • The cost for the Miller Analogies Test is $85.
  • Distance education exams for students at other universities: $35.
  • Shippensburg University distance education students do not pay fees to test in our Center.

All fees must be paid by money order, made payable to Shippensburg University, on the day of your test.

ID Notice

A current government-issued photo ID is required to test (e.g., a driver’s license or a non-driver’s State ID card). Please have second form of ID available, if required for your test.

Parking

We will provide you with a parking pass, if you need it. Be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before your test is scheduled to begin to secure a parking pass. You may park in any lot on campus, except where parking is reserved or designated as handicapped. The closest lot to our building (Horton Hall) is F/S 1.
