Prospective and Incoming First Year Students

Shippensburg University requires all incoming first-year students to reside in university housing, unless the student is commuting from the home of their parent/guardian. For more information on the residency requirement, click here.  When confirming with Shippensburg students are required to select one of the two housing options.

1) Reside in university housing by signing a 2015-2016 new student housing agreement and paying a $200 deposit
2) Claim an exemption from university housing for one of the reasons listed in the requirement statement.

Student housing information specific to each student is stored in our online real time MyHousing portal.  Students should review the portal information periodically for information about housing and upcoming roommate and room selection information.  General information is stored at:

MyHousing Instructions
