Prospective and Incoming First Year Students
Shippensburg University requires all incoming first-year students to reside in university housing, unless the student is commuting from the home of their parent/guardian. For more information on the residency requirement, click here. When confirming with Sh
ippensburg students are required to select one of the two housing options.
1) Reside in university housing by signing a housing agreement and paying a $200 deposit
2) Claim an exemption from university housing for one of the reasons listed in the requirement statement.

What am I allowed to Bring/Not Bring to Shippensburg
The Housing Office has made a check list for you. Although we could not include all items we have tried to give you an idea of what is and isn't allowed. Students can also review the student handbook, Swataney, for information.
Arrival Information Students will arrive on Thursday, August 23, 2012 according to their home zip code between 7:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Meningitis - Students living in residence halls must meet the state meningitis requirement before moving into the residence hall.
