Managing Files Area

D2L provides a central location for managing your course files called Manage Files. The Manage Files area is used to organize the files that make up the course content. Navigation in this area is similar to Windows Explorer-- users may create folders, upload files, delete files, and change file location.

Accessing Manage Files

The Manage Files area uses frames. The left frame consists of a folder hierarchy with plus (+) signs indicating that the folder contains subfolders.

Instructors can access the File Management Console in two ways:

  1. Click on the Content button under Course Elements on the red Navigation bar, then click on Table of Contents. Then in the Related Tools drop-down menu select Manage Files.
