The Office of the Registrar provides services for Ship students, alumni, faculty, administration and staff. These services can be accessed using the links on this page or via the appropriate information system. We strive to provide an efficient delivery of these services in a customer-friendly and helpful environment.

 

Academic Calendar

Please visit http://www.ship.edu/Provost/Academic_Year_Calendar/ to view the academic calendar. Additional dates and deadlines are available in the "Semester Information" link on this page. If you have any questions, please contact the Registrar's Office at ext. 1381.

Application for Graduation

The application deadline for December and January Graduation is Monday, August 3, 2015. Once received, these applications will be reviewed by the appropriate academic dean's office or graduate department. This process will require approximately 8 weeks after the due date for applications. For more information, please visit www.ship.edu/Registrar/Graduation_Process/

Check Grades

Summer Term A final grades are available for students to view in the myShip portal.  To view your final grades: 

  1. Log in to myShip 
  2. Click on Student tab.  
  3. Click on My Academics.
  4. Under Student Grades, click on Final Grades,
  5. Select the term for which you would like to view any grades that have been submitted - Summer A 2015.
  6. Click on Submit.       

Fall Graduate Scheduling

Graduate scheduling for the fall 2015 semester begins Monday, March 23 at 8 a.m. and ends Monday, August 31. Students may log into the myShip portal for the most up-to-date listing of available courses. Please visit http://www.ship.edu/Registrar/Graduate_Scheduling_Information/ for additional information on preparing to schedule.

Last Day to Change UG Major

Undergraduate students may declare or change a major any time except for during scheduling, which includes schedule clean-up and the two weeks prior to scheduling. For the fall semester, changes will be accepted until Monday, October 5th. Any changes submitted after this date will not be processed until scheduling is complete.  The following programs are currently identified as high-demand: Biology, Pre-K-4 and 4-8 Education programs, Communications/Journalism, Criminal Justice and Psychology. Students who wish to declare a major in a high-demand program must submit their request within the first three weeks of the semester (by September 14) in order to be considered. The deadline for students interested in declaring a major in Education is two weeks into the semester.  Students declaring other majors should submit requests during this period to allow them to be processed before scheduling for the next semester.

Undergraduate Schedule Adjustment Begins August 1

Need to schedule?
Use the myShip portal beginning August 1.  If you have not yet scheduled any courses, you will need your alternate PIN (available from your advisor or department).

Need to adjust your schedule?
You may make changes through the myShip portal beginning August 1.

Having difficulty registering for classes?
Contact your advisor, department chair, or academic dean’s office for assistance.  For questions about your major, contact your advisor.

The drop/add period ends on Monday, August 31, at 4 p.m.  During the schedule adjustment period, the supported hours for web schedule adjustment are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  

Summer Graduate Scheduling

Graduate scheduling for all summer courses begins Monday, March 23.  Online scheduling will be available as follows:

Term A Scheduling - March 23 - May 20
Term B Scheduling - March 23 - July 1
