Open House Campus Visitation Programs

Open house programs are a great way to find out all that the SHIP EXPERIENCE has to offer. You'll have the opportunity to find out how SHIP can be just as individual as you are by talking with current students, faculty members, academic Deans, distinguished Alumni or even by attending an academic session. Open House Time Schedule:
8:30 am - 9:20 am: ShipRec Student Recreation Center
Please check-in upon arriving at the ShipRec Center. This will be a "college fair" type set up where you will find a complimentary continental breakfast as well as representatives from each academic major. Representatives from our clubs and organizations, athletics and academic support services will also be available to help you finalize your decision to attend SHIP!

9:35 am - 10:00 am: Welcome and Introductions (Luhrs Performing Arts Center LPAC)
During this session you will meet the Academic Deans from our respective Colleges and perhaps see some familiar faces who have been frequenting your high schools and various recruitment events in your area. You will also receive a very special Shippensburg University welcome from our President, Dr. William N. Ruud. |
10:15 am - 10:45 am: Meet with the Academic Dean (Various Locations on Campus)
There will be various break-out out sessions where you will have the opportunity to meet with the College Deans from the College of Arts & Sciences, The John L. Grove College of Business, the College of Education & Human Services and the Office of Academic Programs and Services. |
10:50 am - 11:50 am: Meet with Faculty and Current Students (Various Locations on Campus)
This session will provide you with the opportunity to hear from Departmental faculty members who will be teaching your classes. As they share with you why they love teaching at SHIP, you will also have the opportunity to hear from several individuals who have "been there, done that," current students in your major. This is a great chance to find out why so many students have chosen Shippensburg University. |
12:00 pm - 1:45 pm: Brunch at Reisner Dining Hall, Tour Residence Halls, Campus Tours (Bus or Walking)
Feel free to take a break and eat lunch at any of our campus dining facilities (meal tickets can be purchased at the opening session or pay at the door). Campus tours will be leaving from the Ceddia Union Building (CUB) and you may choose to walk or take a bus tour. Please note, each tour takes approximately 20 minutes and Residence Hall tours are only available on a walking tour.
