Microsoft's Office: University 2010
Shippensburg University currently uses the 2007 version of Microsoft Office. Students will find the Enterprise version of the Microsoft Office Suite installed in each computer lab across campus.
Unfortunately, Shippensburg University cannot provide this version of Microsoft Office free of charge for students' personal computers. However, Microsoft has worked with universities across the country in an effort reduce the cost of thier software for college students.
Microsoft has significantly discounted their computer software online. This special pricing is only available to college students and can be found online by visiting our campus bookstore. Here students will find the University version of the new 2010 Office software, which is recommended by the Student Help Desk. Students will be required to enter their valid @ship.edu e-mail address in order to qualify for the special pricing. More details can be found directly on our bookstore website.
If students are using an older verion of Microsoft Office, files created in our computer labs may not be compatible with the older software. Fortunately, Microsoft has taken this into consideration and has released a compatibility package. If students are having trouble with an older version of Microsoft Office working properly with Office '07 files, the will need to download the Microsoft Office 2007 Compatibility Package.
