Supreme Court history topic of discussion Oct. 21
Dr. Garrison Nelson, professor of political science at the University of
Vermont, will present a discussion of U.S. Supreme Court history at
6:30 p.m. Oct. 21 in Old Main Chapel at Shippensburg University. The free
presentation is open to the public.
the University of Vermont website, Nelson teaches courses in American government, political leadership
and political parties. He is
the author of more than 100 articles and professional papers on the U.S.
Congress and elections in Vermont and is a regular media commentator on those
topics. He has also spoken numerous times to various professional
organizations and served as a visiting professor at numerous institutions
including Boston College, Tufts University, Brandeis University and the
University of Houston.
His latest book, Pathways to the US Supreme Court: From the Arena to the Monastery, will
be published later this year.
