Ship celebrates Day of Human
University will celebrate diversity, inclusion and cultural competence during
their annual Day of Human Understanding on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The day will
feature a lecture by author Gish Jen at 7 p.m. in the Luhrs Performing
award-winning author, is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
She was a Guggenheim fellow and a fellow of the Radcliffe Institute of Advanced
Study. She received a Lannan Literary award in fiction, as well as a
$250,000 Strauss Living Award from the Academy of Arts and Letters.
