Director's Welcome

Hello students! With midterms and class scheduling on the horizon, we've already begun our planning process to meet our newest prospective students. With our Summer 2014 Orientation Team recently selected, we're excited about the opportunity to get to know a new class of students. That being said, please take the time to review the summer schedule and steps to take in order to prepare yourself for Orientation. Feel free to call our office or email us if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Donna Gross, Director of New Student Orientation

Favorite Quote

“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.” - Randy Pausch, The Last Lecture

Why Did You Choose Shippensburg?

I chose Shippensburg University because from the moment I stepped on this campus I knew everyone on this campus was willing to help make sure I was successful. I was also really excited because Shippensburg is really known for their education program and I cannot wait to be a teacher.

What is your favorite thing Ship has to offer?

I like the fact that so many live speakers come to Shippensburg.

If you could give any one piece of advice to incoming students, what would it be?

My advice to the incoming freshman would be when you go to the activities fair sign up for them! The people in those clubs could become your best friends.
