Shippensburg University Community Orchestra to perform

LinHeArticleOn Nov. 19 at 3 p.m., the Shippensburg University Community Orchestra, led by conductor and director Mark Hartman, will present two classics of the orchestra repertoire from the classical and early romantic eras at the H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center. Students, community members and professional guests will be joined by violinist Lin He, performing the concerto in E Minor by Felix Mendelssohn. 

Lin He has performed all over the country as a solo and chamber musician and is concertmaster of the Lake Charles Symphony in Louisiana. He made his Carnegie Hall debut in November 2014. The orchestra will also perform one of the greatest symphonies by the inventor of the symphony, Franz Joseph Haydn, his final numbered symphony, known as the “London Symphony.”
