Ship’s ‘Diggin’ History!’ series presents Frank Grumbine
On Nov. 13, Ship’s “Diggin’ History” series will feature history major Frank Grumbine. Grumbine’s program “Inundation of the Heartland: Hurricane Agnes and the landscape of the Susquehanna Valley,” begins at 7 p.m. in Dauphin Humanities Center 151.
In his presentation, based on the original archival research conducted in the Pennsylvania State Archives, Grumbine tells the story of the horrific damage caused by Hurricane Agnes and how that disaster transformed the way Pennsylvania and the United States government manage flooding and respond to natural disasters.
This event is sponsored by the History and Philosophy Department and the History Club. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
