Tea and History with Dr. Betty Dessants, Monday, Apr. 11, 2-2:30 pm, DHC Fishbowl

On Monday, April 11, 2016, from 2-2:30 pm in the DHC Fishbowl, the History/Philosophy Department and the Shippensburg University Women in History Network will be hosting a Russian Tea with Dr. Betty Dessants, Shippensburg University Professor of History. Dr. Dessants will be discussing how she became interested in history, her challenges, observations, and career as a professional historian. Come join us for tea and great conversation with Dr. Dessants!

A View from the History Classroom: A Talk with Mr. Chris Pavone, Monday, Apr. 11, 7:30 pm DHC 205

The History Alumni Mentoring Network & the History/Philosophy Department are proud to welcome back to campus Mr. Chris Pavone,a recent graduate of the department who is now teaching social studies at Waynesboro Area Senior High School. He will be sharing about his experiences at Ship in the history education program, and his journey from the campus to the high school classroom. The talk will be Monday, April 11 at 7:30 pm in Dauphin Humanities Center 205.
