Graduate Council
As noted in the university's governance document, Graduate Council is charged with the responsibility for providing masters, post-baccalaureate, and post-masters programs that encourage intellectual excellence, research, scholarship, and professionalism, and that are responsive to individual student needs and career goals.
Graduate Council membership:
Chair - Dean of Graduate Studies
Deans of each College or their designees
One representative from Student Affairs
One representative from each graduate program who is chosen by the department
In the case of a program that involves multiple academic departments (e.g. Curriculum & Instruction), the departments should collaborate to choose one member to represent them.
One representative chosen by APSCUF
One graduate student selected by the Graduate Student Association
The Dean of Enrollment Services and the Dean of Extended Studies serve as ex-officio members
