The John L. Grove College of Business, established in 1971, is one of the premier business schools in the Mid-Atlantic Region (Northeast). Over the last four decades, our College of Business has established a tradition of excellence.  In 1981, we became the first school in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and the ninth college overall in Pennsylvania to become internationally accredited by the most prestigious business accrediting agency in the world, AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Today, we are one of only 24 schools in Pennsylvania and one of approximately 650 worldwide to have earned AACSB International accreditation. Under the guidelines of accreditation, we are committed to continuous improvement as we seek to meet the educational needs of our students, our community and our region.

  Numerous studies have shown that a high percentage of students, regardless of major, end up pursuing careers in business or careers that require an understanding of business. Non-business majors can pursue a business minor to enhance their program of study, advance their career opportunities, or to prepare for the pursuit of an MBA degree. 
• Each year our business faculty members vote for one of the regional companies nominated by faculty and staff for their “Company of the Year Award.”  This year Volvo CE garnered the most votes placed by business faculty from a list of four finalists. Volvo CE was selected because of the economic footprint, charities, and environmental impact they have brought to local communities in central Pennsylvania and nationally. Volvo stands out as a good corporate citizen!
