The Office of Disability Services, (ODS) is housed within the School of Academic Programs and Services at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and is located at 120 Horton Hall.
The Office of Disability Services provides accommodation and services to ensure equal educational access to otherwise qualified individuals with disabilities.
Shippensburg University is committed to serving all students, including students with disabilities. In compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, the State System of Higher Education, and Shippensburg University 's Equity Plans, the Office of Disability Services coordinates and provides services for students with disabilities.
The office also works in coordination with the Human Resource Office to provide accommodation to faculty and staff with documented disabilities.
Students with disabilities follow the same admission procedures and standards as required by Shippensburg University 's Admissions Office for all students. Questions regarding admission procedures and acceptance status should be directed to the Admissions Office (717) 477-1231. Questions regarding available accommodations for students with disabilities and required documentation should be directed to the Office of Disability Services at (717) 477-1329.
Requests for accommodation should be submitted directly to the Office of Disability Services. Students requesting accommodations must provide the University with documentation to substantiate the request.
