Beta Gamma Sigma at Shippensburg University

Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honor society that is a product of AACSB accreditation.  The John L. Grove College of Business is one of only 590 colleges with a Beta Gamma Sigma chapter in the entire world.  As such, being a member of Beta Gamma Sigma is one of the highest achievements a business student can make.  Being a member of Beta Gamma Sigma opens doors to the business world through alumni relations programs and service events held at the university and community.  You never know when the person you’re helping at an event is going to be your next employer!

Juniors, seniors, and graduate students who meet the academic requirements of Beta Gamma Sigma, you will be invited to join.  You are required to pay a one-time fee, and then you are a BGS member for life.  There are many benefits, such as receiving discounts from various companies, GMAT exemptions, and access to alumni networks.

To receive an invitation, for undergraduates, you must be in the top 10% of your class; for the graduate level, the top 20%.  You will be contacted by the Dean’s office after Spring Break.  You might also be tapped in class to join this prestigious organization.  An induction ceremony is held every Spring.

For more information, you can look at Beta Gamma Sigma’s website:  www.betagammasigma.org.
