Out-of-State Discount Opportunities

 

While tuition is higher for out-of-state residents, you may be eligible for a significant tuition discount if you qualify for any of these opportunities that are available beginning in fall 2018.


Out-of-State Raider Award

Out of State Raider Award

This discount is available to any first-year student who meets any of the following requirements:

  • Earned an SAT of 1100 or higher (Evidence Based Reading and Writing and Mathematics) 
  • Earned an ACT of 22 or higher
  • Has a GPA of 3.25 or higher
  • Ranked in the top 30% of their high school class

 At this year's rate, this disount provides a savings of $2,810 per semester or $5,620 per year.That is the scholarship equivalent to more than $22,000 during a student's four years at Shippensburg University.

STEM or Transfer Out-of-State Raider Award

This discount is available to any student who meets any of the following requirements:

  • First-year students who are enrolled in a STEM or STEM education major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
  • Transfer students who have earned 30 or more college-level credits and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

At this year's rate, the savings is $1,873 per semester or $3,746 per year. That is the scholarship equivalent to nearly $15,000 during a student's four years at Shippensburg University.

Dual Admission Discount for Transfer Students 

Students who are enrolled in a Dual Admission Program with a participating community college are eligible for a discount of $2,810 per semester or $5,620 per year.

Please Note: Students who receive the Out-of-State Raider Awards must maintain a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.5 until they have earned 30 college-level credits. Once they have earned 30 or more college-level credits, they must maintain a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.8.
